This policy explains what data Mood Journal processes, why it is processed,
and what rights users have when using the app.
1. Data We Process
App data (stored locally)
- Journal content that users write in the app.
- Mood selections and generated usage state needed for app functions.
- Security credentials in protected form (hashed secrets in secure storage).
- Feature preferences such as theme and lock settings.
Advertising and analytics data
- Device identifiers such as IDFA (only with your consent via App Tracking Transparency), IDFV, and advertising IDs.
- Device and app metadata such as device model, OS version, app version, language, and network type.
- Approximate location derived from IP address.
- Ad interaction data such as impressions, clicks, and install attribution events.
- Diagnostic and performance data related to ad delivery and SDK stability.
Your journal entries and mood notes are not used for advertising profiling and are not shared with ad partners.
2. Purpose of Processing
- Provide core journaling and mood-tracking features.
- Protect private data through local authentication and lock controls.
- Store personalization options and improve user continuity.
- Enable user-requested operations such as image export to Photos.
- Display interstitial advertisements to support free app access.
- Measure ad performance, attribution, and campaign effectiveness.
- Improve ad relevance where permitted by your tracking consent choices.
- Monitor SDK reliability and prevent ad fraud.
3. Permissions
Face ID / Touch ID: Used for secure app unlock when enabled by user.
Photo Library Add: Used only when user saves generated quote images.
App Tracking Transparency: Used to request permission before accessing IDFA for ad measurement and personalization. You can decline and still use the app.
4. Storage and Security
Mood Journal stores app state locally on the user device.
Sensitive credentials are transformed and stored with secure platform APIs.
We do not sell personal data.
5. Sharing and Third Parties
The app does not share personal journal content with third parties by default.
If users choose to use iOS share features, data sharing is initiated by user action.
To deliver and measure advertising, we use third-party SDKs and their partners.
These services may process device and usage data according to their own privacy policies:

We work with AppLovin to deliver ads in our mobile application.
AppLovin may collect device identifiers, IP-based location, ad interaction data,
and related usage information for ad delivery and measurement.

Note: This is AppLovin’s required official URL. It may be unreachable from some regional networks; Apple reviewers and international users can access it normally.

Apple SKAdNetwork and AdAttributionKit may receive limited attribution signals for ad measurement
without accessing your journal content.
We do not sell personal journal content. Advertising partners may use permitted identifiers
to measure and optimize ad campaigns.
6. User Rights
- Access: You can view your stored content directly in the app.
- Correction: You can edit entries and preferences at any time.
- Deletion: You can remove drafts, favorites, and recycle-bin content in app.
- Tracking choice: You can allow or deny ad tracking in the iOS permission prompt, or change it later in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.

7. Children and Sensitive Use
This app is intended for general journaling users. It is not a clinical diagnosis service.
Parents or guardians should supervise use by minors where required by local law.
